Hi it’s looks like I didn’t escape Storm Babet after all, does anyone know how to go about diagnosing this? Looks like it’s under the facias /soffits, but who knows how to get into them?

That appears to be a BIG soffit over-hang, so you can rule out ingress from beneath. Is there a roof valley in that corner?

Yes exactly that.

Does this mean that the soffit will take care of any water from the roof tiles ?
No. It just means that the problem lies with the detailing above, such as felt degradation, tile condition, falls, weathering etc.

The soffit has lost its silicone seal at this very window, but simply re-sealing this might not be the solution of the problem lies above.
