Hi
I have a windowless bathroom and it is really tiny as well so steams up pretty quick. There is an extractor fan which is pretty much useless so I would like to see if I could put in a small window and was wondering what it might cost and how big a job it would be. Would appreciate any help. Thanks.

A window is more trouble than it`s worth - other than allowing light in ;) Half the time the wind blows IN - what you need is a decent extractor and associated pipework

I agree with Nige F; spending a considerable amount of cash to put in a new window just to improve ventilation really isn’t cost effective unless of course you want the view. You may also need PP & Building Regs inspection of the new opening.

My own personal smallish en-suite (now in it’s 4th year) has no window but the ducted fan (Icon Airflow) does a very good job of clearing steam & condensation quickly; it also incorporates a humidity sensor so it will keep pumping for a s long as necessary to drag humidity levels down. What you need is a decent fan, it will be more than adequate. Another factor is that to extract air from a room, an equal amount of air needs to be able to get in, if the door fits too snugly that may be your problem; I cut 12mm off the bottom of the new door I fitted to take account of this.
