Hi,
I'm after some replacement casement windows and sliding patio doors in a timber frame/wood clad house. White inside, rosewood (or similar RAL colour) outside. Any thoughts on what material is best, and why? Seems to be a fair it of conflicting advice (much of it from interested parties!).
Virgin uPVC seems to come in at about the same price as Velfac (composite - Alu outside, wood inside). Aluminium as a little more (perhaps 12-20% extra).
Any others steers welcome e.g. good/bad companies, installations traps to avoid, etc.
For bifolds, I gather alu is the only (sensible) way.
Thanks,
Dan
