are we hard done to? summer seems to last 3 or 4 weekends, whereas, winter seems to go on forever....

How does it affect the pros who work outside?

You adopt a mindset that prepares you for the worst. So, if the weather turns out slightly better than abysmal, you are on a winner.

My cup is always half full.

For me, it can be Spring every day. I love spring.

Personally, i would rather work in temperatures of minus three than in eighty degrees heat.

A strong cold wind is the greatest strength sapper.

Would rather have -10 than rain and generally like the cold in comparison to hot weather. Always look forward to September arriving. Our digger can dry a wet coat on the pumps in less than 15 minutes. Foreigners are the only guys we can get to work these days and don't make a fuss about getting a drenching.
My central heating is currently turned off.
Find it nice and cosy at 12c. If it gets much warmer might have to migrate north.
