I have to replace the bathroom fan as old one stopped working. The new one is a little different so even though I looked at how the old one was wired not sure about this one. The new one is a Xpelair 100T, I have 3 live wires, brown, black & red, the fan has 3 points to connect in to L, N T, which wire do i put in which connection? This is a timer fan that operates with the light switch.
Any help really appreciated.

brown black and red that sounds dodgy

black is probablly your neutral going to N

the remaining two wires are going to be your live and switched live (L and T) if you get theese reversed the timer simply will not work (the fan will go off instantly with the light)

Are the brown & red not normal then? Thanks for your help I will give that a go.
