Wireless - switching on wireless adapter

Got an Advent 5401 laptop recently and bought a Belkin wireles router to go with it (have cable modem for my old PC).

When I run the Belkin CD, my PC tells me that the wireless capability is switched off. It says turn by "using a switch, which is usually found on front or side of the computer, or a function key combination."

There's no switch - anyone know what the function key combination might be?

And for future ref, look at the keyboard for the [Fn] key - it may be a diff colour or the text has a box, underline etc. Now look at all other keys for symbols rendered in the same way. There are key combos for stuff like:

SLeep
Hibernate
Eject CD
Brightness
Volume
Bluetooth
Wireless

etc


Also, some laptops switch the wireless on and off with software. My IBM laptop drivers switch wireless off when I right-click Disable the network adapter.. I think this approach sensible for the most part, as on otehr systems its possible to have a wireless adapter that is Enabled in windows, but power to the card is literally switched off, so it doesnt work -> such a logica disconnect is bad design

Thanks very much for all the help - problem solved. Turned out the switch was there all the time - but was malfunctioning!!
