Wires come out of 2 way switch

Good evening,
I undid the top floor light switch for papering yesterday to find 3 wires not attached at the switch when I removed it, the picture with the wagos are the wires that were lose (2reds and a yellow). The first picture shows red with masking tape in common and black and blue together, please note maskin tape on all wires was put on by me for ease of refitting. Now the picture with the yellow ring on is the wiring to the downstairs corresponding switch. Now on these wires coming out also my bedroom light next door is not working so I believe one of the reds is linked to that switch. I believe the yellow copied the downstairs switch next to the blue and black but unsure about the reds at the moment, when I get chance to take the light fitting off I may learn more as I’m wondering which one the switch live will be. I think one of the reds was a live and the other not but need to check all this out now the papering is done, just looking for info for when I get chance

Does the black wire ( that's in the same terminal as the blue wire)come from the same outer sheathed cable as one of the reds ? If it does ,put that red and the yellow ,together in the terminal that is empty ( next to the terminal with the black and blue wires in).
See if two way now works,if they do ,put the remaining red wire In with the yellow and red wires.( So 3 into the same terminal)

hello there yes a red comes from same sheath as black so guess they are going together so just leaves other red, will try that first and report back thank you

Sorry that’s what I meant 3 together next to blue and black. The other terminal has no screw piece in so that was never used.

Am I right in thinking the black would be the switched live

Hello there couldn’t get the light cover off to check wiring in ceiling rose so least I know of an extra problem as I wanted to change the pendant oh well so went with 3 wires into one and I never knew also the spare room was not working but happy to report back all 3 rooms working spot on thanks
