Hi all,
Hoping someone can put my mind at rest.
The sub contracted electrician from the building company currently doing an integral garage conversion for me did his work today.
Am turning half the garage into an internal room (play room)
Fully separated from the rest of the garage (blocks and bricks etc).
He extended the ring to re-place original sockets and removed the old garage light and wired up new circuits (2) for several downlighter spotlights.
My question:-
All the cabling (twin earth pvc std stuff) is just cable clipped in place and tomorrow I will be having plaster boards dotted and dabbed over the top of it.
Just want to check whether the cable is supposed to be inside trunking/covering to keep separation or is it ok for the plaster/adhesive to come in contact with the cabling?
many thanks
