Hi all,
looking for some guidance, i want to fit a 4g lte router in the back of my caravan and usb sockets by the bunk beds, running off leisure battery so can still use it off grid.
there's a wardrobe/locker at the back of the van and wondered whether i could get my feed from existing wiring in there? can clearly see there's lights circuit for lights in the bunk beds but is it bad practise to add the router and usb socket getting feed from lighting circuit?
router can run on 9-48v so haven't got to worry about regulating the voltage i'd assume as i know when on electric hookup can reach up and over 14v.
router is 2amps and the x2 usb sockets are 4.2amps each and the usb socket has an inline 10amp fuse
i've put usb sockets in situ as you'll see from photos that i haven't wired up yet as same question goes for them was going to use piggyback terminals and connect them via lights terminal?
it'd be a much bigger job to run cables from back wardrobe to leisure battery but is that what i need to do, to do it properly?
any advise or guidance is much appreciated!
