Hi All,
I've had a look through the forum without much luck...
I am attempting to replace a broken one way 2 gang switch that caters for two lights in my dining room. I have purchased like for like I believe with the switch having l1, l2, l3 twice each as before. There are red, blue and yellow wires and the box is earthed. There was also a red wire looping l1 to l1 before.

I'm pretty sure I am replacing as before but no joy.....it seems I can get either one or the other light on but not both.

I'm about to throw myself out of the window so would appreciate any help please.!

Many thanks.

photographs always help, too late for a before which would have helped you, but an after would help people to help you.

Move the red wire into the same terminal that has the looped red wire.
That should improve things, but you may find one switch is then upside down.

Moving the yellow into the next terminal L2 might sort that

Perfect! Thank you Andy.

It was upside down so moved the yellow and bingo.....thank you very much.
