Wiring a lamp holder

I have the following lamp holder from screwfix: http://www.screwfix.com/p/british-general-cordgrip-lamp-holder-bc-white/48002

There is no live or neutral indications on lamp holders so am I correct in believing it doesn't matter which way what wire goes on the holder?

Correct, and remember to use the flex gripping lugs inside the holder.

As it is for use of a BC lamp, it has no polarity bias. If it were an ES lamp than it would need to have correct polarity.
