Wiring a Towel Rail from lights

I’ve got the attached towel rail and I’m working out where to bring the power supply from. It would make life much easier to come off the lighting ring, and given its only a small bar connected via a 12v transformer and outputting 17 watts would that be a problem?

No problem connecting to the lighting circuit.

Just to say - it is unlikely to be a ring.

Should be fine, the lighting circuit is almost certainly radial. Isolate it to allow for easier access/maintenance

I did the similar recently for a 500w towel heater, in my case 1.5mm t+e from the nearest ceiling rose to a fcu then the towel heater into the load side of the fcu.
