Hi guys

Last night our 2 lights in the living room tripped the fuse, since the fuse was reset ive not been able to get the lights working again, So im now wondering if the switch itself had gone.

Having removed the old switch i now have a new double one.

With the following connections on each side:

COMMON
L1
L2

Wires at the switch point are Red, Black Brown, and Blue which is clipped

Can anyone help with which cable should go where.

Many Thanks

As i removed the switch the cables popped out, so i didnt get a chance to grab a look

I am assuming the brown is the permanent line due to the brown link. You will need to put the brown into one of the commons (doesn't matter which) and then put the link in between the two commons.
Put the red in one L1, and the black in the other L1. If for any reason you need both switches on to work one of the lights then you will need to swap the red with the brown (keep the link where it is).
If the switches are the opposite way round to how you like them swap the wires that are in L1. If the switches are upside down swap the wires from L1 to L2.
