Wiring extractor fan independently from light

I got a bathroom fan which comes on with light.

Could I installed a double switch, loop out from the live and the switch live from one gang to the second gang at the switch and both light and fan will independently?

Or will I need to drop some more cable from the loft to the switch and require 2 switch lives, one for light and one for fan?
