I currently have a 30 amp supply to my kitchen for an electric cooker. I am upgrading the kitchen and will be fitting a double oven and electric induction/ceramic hob. The manufacturers blurb quotes that these units have connected loads of 6.1kW and 6.5kW respectively.

Do I have to run a 30 amp supply to each unit or can they both come from the same supply :?:

If I have to run a new supply to the hob, presumable I will need 6mm2 cable :?:

Your thoughts and assistance gratefully received.

:)

You will need a seperate supply, ....the 6.5KW appliance alone would potentially draw just under 30Amps and that's not far off the limit for 6mm cable (32A I think!)
