Hi i am removing my electric shower but am unsure what i need to do with the electric wire left behind...want to re-tile over hole...what do i do to make the wire safe without ripping all the wiring out? regards lisa
Disconnect the cable at fuse board, disconnect the cable at the shower isolator switch and then you will have two separated cables at both ends of these two cables terminate all three cable cores together, in to the same connection block terminal.
Make sure the power is isolated at the board before you attempt to disconnect the cables.
Does the cable run through your loft to the isolator? If so, may be a good idea to replace the isolator with a socket in the loft in case you ever need power up there
