Hi Guys: Just about to replace a Stoves ceramic hob with a Russell Hobbs version. Both are NON-INDUCTION.
I see on the wiring diagram for the new unit that there are 4 connections - L1, L2, N and E. The N and E are easy enough but the only time I have come across L1 and L2 has been in. lighting wiring. The instructions show brown wire to L2 and black to L1. I am pretty sure (before disconnecting the old Stoves model) that there are only the three wires - brown, blue and green/yellow on the existing feed cable. Will it be in order to just connect brown to L2, blue to N and yellow/green to Earth.
Your comment would be most welcome. TIA
