I'm replacing an old double light switch.

The current wiring comprises of 4 wires, and the 4 reds are each wired to one of 4 terminals marked A, A1, B and B1. All of the blacks are together and not attached to any terminal. In addition there is a seperate wire joining A to B.

My new switch is only marked (across the top) 1way, Com, Com, 1 way and across the bottom 2 Way and 2 way.

How should I connect the wires?

Thanks Paul

right, dont connect anything to the 2way terminals.

the wire in A needs connecting to one of the com terminals,
and the wire in A1 needs connecting to the corresponding 1way terminal.
Do the same with the B and B1 into the other com and 1way terminals.

Keep the link between the com terminals, as this may feed the rest of the lighting circuit.

Leave the neutrals alone - they should be connected to a piece of terminal block.

Red from A to com on left hand side, red from A1 to way1 on left hand side.
Red from B to com on right hand side, red from B1 to way1 on right hand side.
Link wire from com to com.
Leave all blacks connected together.
