I am changing a plastic pendent ceiling rose to a 3 way metal spotlight.
The existing ceiling rose has the earth wire tucked up and secured into terminal whilst the briwn and blue are having down through the pendant.
My new fitting has a three point terminal with the earth inserted with a metal tab. Therefore I presume the earth from existing would attach to this? However it also has two brown wires encased together in a white sheath ( so imagine these attach to live in the terminal) but then it has a blue and a brown wire also together encased in a sheath, which I am unsure about. Do these connect to neutral with them being both brown and blue. Any help appreciated.
