Hi folks

With regard to pir wiring zones and eol.

I've cabled each pir back to the control box separatley. So how do I wire say 4 of them to one zone and how/where should the resistors for eol be fitted.

Please treat me gentle as I'm newbie here but have done quite a lot of DIY (Destroy It Yourself). :-0

Many thanks in advance

Dave :)

you connect each device to its own circuit, not as you said 4 into one circuit. this is so if there is a problem you know which device has caused the problem.

a device could be a door, detector Panic button etc.

if you read the manual it should tell you how to wire the devices.

to assit you look at number 6 here

Many thanks for such a quick reply Breezer

I'm on nights with fuzzy brain syndrome :-0

I'm not sure I can explain with words, though I see the connections on the pir in (6).

I'm confused by the manual probably because it saying what I dont want to hear.

It appears from the manual that all pir's in a zone should daisey chained ! but I was also under the impression that each pir should be individually cabled back (which I have done). If I'm correct what is the wiring arrangement back at the control box.

Sorry to be a pain......and I'n knocking off soon so wont be back in till tonight.

Thanks again for your patience.

Dave :)

as i said, each device goes to its own circuit. how that is done varies from panel to panel

some have letters some have nimbers, some have littlle drawings........

Hi Breezer

The penny has dropped.....

Looked at the manual again and realised I was seeing what I wanted to see not what was drawn it front of me !!

Plainly obvious and all makes sense now inc eol connections.

I havent done nights for over 10yrs and the fuzzy syndrome was quite real.

I used to write computer code on nights and could never work out how it worked just a few days later.

Again thanks for your help and patience

Dave
