Has anyone got any experience with fitting monoblock mixers to a kitchen sink?
I've always had a sit on sink before, but have just fitted a bristan monoblock mixer tap to an inset sink - problem is that although i've fully tightened up the back fixing nut, the tap wobbles - in fact the whole sink does! (not due to the fit to the worktop but the metalwork of the sink itself)
I'm assuming that this is due to the sink being too thin to take the weight of the tap (much thinner than the old sit on version) - is there any way to improve this without ripping the whole thing out and spending a lot more on a new sink?
I'd be interested to know if anyone else has come across this or is this a cautionary tale for getting a cheap sink!!
