we have just pulled up the carpet in our dining room ready to fit laminate and now the carpet is up its noticeably really wonky, it seems to raise quite sharply by about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch in the centre of the room and be lower at the sides.
the floor is of the floating chipboard tongue and groove type.Im wondering whether an acceptable finish could be achieved by putting planks or boards on top of the chipboard on the lower areas to the sides and overboarding the whole lot with plywood.
does this sound like it would work or should I be looking to rip the whole lot up?
