Wood or MDF skirting boards.

Are there any particular differences or advantages of having MDF skirting boards as opposed to wood?

mdf more stable pre finnished/primed

disavantiges dont like damp or wet at all wont recover from being soaking wet where as wood will

Thanks for that. What I failed to ask was and that is the cost . Does the cost differ between the two?
