Hi
Every website tells me that my new 2 inch screed is going to take 2 months to dry making no allowance for the hotter summer- which seems strange. Can I put wooden floor + DPM down +before screed is suitably dry? If so, upto what moisture% can I risk it? (the manufacturer of the DPM say 6% rather than the normal 4%- seems hardly any difference...! In that case what is the point of the DPM at all?). My builder is pushing me to get the floor down asap.
Thanks for you help!

Of course you can and on your head be it. The moist has to go somewhere and will get into your wood. You will notice this one day after you have installed you floor.
Rule of thumb: every inch of new concrete takes 30 days to dry natural. Ventilate as much as possible (high temperatures outside don't mean anything when the air humidity outside is also high) to help it along, but you can only safely install a new wooden floor on new concrete when the moist content in the concrete is maximum 2.1%. (When it reaches just below 3% you can 'risk' applying a sealer to seal off the residue moist, but that is still a risk).
Let nature have its course, your builder should know better.
