Hello,
I am planning to build a wooden plinth for a new shower tray and the adjoining area. I want to use 47mm*125mm sawn treated KD C16 battens to support either 18mm OSB3 or 18mm WBP plywood. The area next to the tray is to be tiled with 33cm*33cm ceramic tiles. My questions are:
1. Can I use 18mm OSB3 (cheaper) or is 18mm WBP plywood better?
2. What is the maximum distance between the supporting battens so that the board does not bend and tiles do not crack?
Any advice will be much appreciated.
