worcester 24i - flame going on and off

I have a Worcester 24i combi boiler. On Sunday the fan broke down and I replaced it on Tuesday evening. Since that time the flame goes off by itself and the radiators get cold. When I open the hot water tap the flame would go back on and the radiators would get hot again until the flame goes off again after some time. What could be the reason? Did I do something wrong when I replaced the fan?

This is one reason NOT to DIY inside a gas boiler. For anything to do with the gas, flues, controls etc you have to be competent.
Boilers blow up, catch fire and poison people to death.

Let’s hope it is one of the safety features kicking in. you have wandered beyond safe diy, get a pro to check it
