Worcester 24i, hw keeps going off

Hi all,

My Worcester 24i has been great, but now is doing my head in. When you switch on the hw is fires up but after 5 or so mins goes off, the strange thing is that you can tap the front of the control panel and it comes back on, but it can go off again, also it always happens when my girlfriend is in the shower (Hehe).

Any clues guys?

Do you think it may just be a loose connection? any idea why if a tap it, it comes back on?

It may be the harness loose,but i suspect the pcb is about to give up,

Just being looking at it and if i have the control panel unscrewed and down it works, i can tap it and it stays on, but if i put it back up, it goes off.

Its really strange.

Any clues??

It obviously could be a connection, but parts on printed circuit boards can do it too.
Turn all power off, remove the pcb connectors, and put them back again. See if it changes.
Try wiggling things if it's intermittent, but if it's purely a gravity thing, you may need a new pcb.
