Worcester 24i (not the junior one)

Hello Amigos

I just moved to this new place last night. This place got a Worcester 24i combi boiler. now at the last place i had a combi boiler as well but it was little bit different in a way that it used to warm up the radiators as well when I used to use hot water and thus keeping the house warm. But at my new place its not doing that. So I tried putting on the central heating and than the radiators were hot. But I really want the boiler to warm me radiators while im using the hot water as well.

Are there any settings for this? Could there be something wrong with the boiler? Or it is normal that some combi boilers do pump the hot water through boilers and some dont?

Combi boilers are hot water priority and do not run heating and hot water at the same time.

I'm trying to make sense of your post and I am not sure if this awnsers your question

Unless you are running a hot tap constantly this should not be a problem.

Maybe I havent explained it well. Let me try again.

I believe that if some one is using combi boiler the hot water is pumped through the radiators and than to the taps. Meaning that every time if someone uses the hot water, it also warms up the radiators (even though he is not using the central heating at the time).

I got a combi boiler as well. But it is not warming the radiators when I am using the hot water. But than I tried putting on the central heating and than it was working fine. But I want the boiler to warm the radiators every time i use the hot water.

Hope I have explained the concern this time.

By the sound of it I think this boiler is fine and your old one was faulty. If you have heating switched off then no heat should go to the radiators ever.

The water that goes to the radiators is completely separate to the water that goes to the taps

I was under the impression that combi boilers normally pump the hot water through the radiators and than to the tap!!!!!!! at least thats how my previous boiler was working. And to be honest I really liked that as it always used to keep the house warm and speacially my towel in the bathroom on the towel radiator always used to be dry and warm

If this is serious, your last landlord was a charlatan, who was telling you that so he wouldn't have to spend on a repair.

Sounds like the diverter valve was faulty in your old place

Less it was an old lynx that dumped hot water to the rad circuit after filling a bath

A combi boiler only supplies heat to ONE destination at a time!

EITHER hot water OR central heating!
