Looking for some advice.

The diverter valve on my Worcester 280 combi boiler appears to have gone on the blink (sussed it out using some of the other posts for advice). If I push the switch in on the bottom it appears to work perfectly well, both HW and CH which both switch off when I would expect them to.

Can someone tell me if having it pushed in is dangerous as I don't know if I will be able to get a new part before Saturday and is very cold this end of the world, also do I need it

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Also forgot to ask if anyone could point me in the direction of a motor and/or full unit.

Thanks

Spoke to Worcester and they say it won't do any harm is a temporary fix that will affect the efficiency only as some of the hot water is directed to the hot water tank as well as the heating so will just take slightly longer to heat up.

Thanks anyway.
