Hi, any help with diagnosis would be appreciated.
We have a Worcester 280 combi boiler whose hot water is working absolutely fine. The central heating though is a different story. When the heating first comes on (eg at 6.30 am) the boiler fires and the radiators warm up as you would expect. Once the rooms have warmed up the flames disappear from the boiler sight window as you would expect.
When the thermostat decides the room temperatures have dropped ten minutes or so later the boiler fires again...and then stops about 3 seconds later. And that's it. We have to turn the heating off and wait about another half hour or so before we give it another go...and it works again!
Great for saving on gas bills, not so great for trying to go about your daily business. Boiler watching is only marginally more interesting than watching paint dry!
Thanks in advance,
Neil.
