Worcester 280 problems

Hi all, I have a Worcester 280 boiler that is causing me a few issues. I will try and explain it as best I can....

I have no heating or hot water at present.

If the programmer is asking for heat, but the demand light simply will not come on, so no heating.

If I run the hot water tap, it boiler kicks in, but does not give me hot water. The pilot light comes on and the CH pump kicks in and gives me heating.

I am baffled. Any ideas guys?

Sounds like two separate faults, one of which is the diverter valve being gubbed.

Gubbed? Do you mean blocked or just faulty?

They are fairly expensive to buy, do you think I am better off doing a fixed price repair with BG or similar?
