Worcester 28CDI Heating comes on when hot water is turned on

hi,

I have a weird problem with the boiler:

When the hot water is running, the radiheaters get hot. the boiler indicates the heating is off, the heating light is off and the temp setting is set to off - the hot water light is on, and the hot water works as expected.

I replaced the diverter valve about 5 years ago, and the heat exchanger (at the front of the boiler at the bottom) about 18 months ago.

The diverter valve was changed becuase the hot water stopped working, and the heat exchanger because hot water would go hot-cold-hot-cold.

Any ideas?

Yep, diverters passing. Sounds like you have a sludgy system, I'd look into cleaning it or you could find the new diverter passing again soon or plate blocking again.
