worcester 28si challenge

Please please can someone help me.

I have a worcester 28si boiler which works fine in c/h mode and hot water mode. The problem arrises when the c/h is running and i turn on the hot water.

I can hear the boiler switch into hot water mode and hot water will come from the taps, but occassionally the boiler will trip out and the red light of death will flash once per second.

I have tried replacing the dhw thermister but the problem is still there.

Could anyone give me any ideas of what else could be wrong
