Worcester 42cdi main heat exchanger removal

Hi all

I am replacing a main heat exchanger in a green star 42cdi boiler, all straight forward apart from removal of the bottom pipe from the heat exchanger, has anyone got any tip in how to remove it

Yep, good oil, big grips and a new pipe.

Has anyone else had problems connecting the replacement plastic outlet to the main block heat exchanger?

No never and done three figures. Are you qualified to do it?, crucial flue and gas seals here and needs a flue gas analyser to set the new heat exchanger up as it will be set up to the old one with less flue gas flow through.

Ya, I have two, this block has a plastic bottom outlet, rather than the aluminium one.
Seems a bit Micky mouse to me
