Worcester bosch 24i fault

its a standard efficiency boiler, spark electrode carrys on sparking even when flame been on for long while, and also sometimes locks out and wont relight till reset button is pressed, does in water and heating settings, seems to happed more often when warm.

Other than that it works fine and will sometimes work for days with out any probs or can take numerous times resetting before working again.

any advice helpfull.

sounds like it is an intermittant flame rectification issue......

sounds like the flame retification lead (probe) is faulty

the flame retification probe looks in good condition, and lead is ok too.
how can you tell if its the probe?
i checked the earth lead too from this and it looks a good fix.
What about the board?

have u checked continuity on the lead???

yep, first thing a did, its fine.
Some times the boiler works totally fine, as if no probs at all, then can just go into lock out. Its very intermitent.
Are the leads and probes common problams on these??

Also, just remembered, some times when heating in demand boiler doesn't fire and pump only runs, even when cold or when been on earlier.

i cant honestly say ive never come across this fault on a wb. however id say that id try the probe n lead before splashing out on a pcb. its just a case of an ac volt going to the probe and dc volt getting sent back to the board

i agree, i do think its a board prob, but i'll defo try these parts first. cheers.
