Hello,

My (very old) boiler is not firing up.

  • Reset button is in, and holding.
  • Fan runs.
  • Air pressure switch changes state when fan is running.
  • Gas valve feels like it pulls in. (I'm not totally sure about this, but something clunks and it feels like the gas valve)
Then after that that nothing happens, no sparking occurs. I've had a look at the PCB and the only obvious fault was the contacts on RL1 which where charred up, I've replaced this like for like (Omron G2R-2)

Can anyone suggest anything else to test? Or shall I just replace the PCB? Any ideas what the common PCB failures are? Other than RL1.

Many thanks

Well, when you joined the site you should have read the rules first.

One is we don't give DIY advice on gas matters.

You can get that by joining the Combustion Chamber section.
