Hi, my 2006 WB Greenstar 35CDi has started leaking occasionally (but not all the time), from the location shown in the photo. I think this is the connection from the heat exchanger?

According to the parts diagram, there's a washer in here at 13 (washer type X1, part no 87161156730). If anyone is familiar with these boilers, could this be the culprit?

Thanks for any help with this.

AIUI That's a common location for the RH - return block to spring a leak, I replaced mine (25i) earlier in the year - took me an hour but works ok diddly now.
Just where the brown marks are you may find a pinhole thats spewing water.
Looks like they are about £170 ish. (or a lot less if you shop around - £80 ish on amazon)

It may not be that so wait for some better answers if any.
As I'm no RGI so I now expect to be stripped, flogged and paraded through the streets with a danger sign around my neck by those that are :)

P.S. you could try the washer but I doubt it's that.

Thanks for this. It's the left hand block actually. I've cleaned it up and tried to find a pinhole leak but can't see anything at present, as the leak isn't continuous. Will keep checking

It could be - could also be the retaining clip that loosened and it just needs undone - it all cleaned and relocated. It could also be something else and something's damaged - that's the nature of these WB boilers now using plastic everywhere. Hard to tell without stripping and inspecting. Trouble is if it is damage then the leak may get worse if stripped, until the part is replaced.

Please also be careful, that's inside the room sealed case and it's not really DIY territory.
