Worcester combi boiler and bensham thermostatic shower valve

We replaced a leaking cartridge in a Bensham thermostatic shower valve because the valve was leaking. However, a month later the water in the shower stays tepid and does not get hot or col>
Could it be that with a combi boiler you need a special cartridge in the thermostatic shower valve?
