Worcester Greenstar 28i Junior Boiler

Hello,

All looking to purchase the CP4 (COMBIPACK4) – OpenTherm Programmable RF Thermostat my question though is it compatible with the Worcester Greenstar 28i Junior Boiler?

This would be great if someone could identify if it can be installed pro's and con's etc.

If it is I can order one and get someone qualified to install it for us.

Hello Simon,

If you’re asking about the opentherm part, no it isn’t, Worcester like to use their own, EMS iirc. If you’re asking if the on/off part works, then yes it would.

Opentherm is just a communication language that helps to modulate the boiler. No you don’t need to look at another thermostat if the EPH is what you fancy. I just thought I would be honest about the opentherm part.

When you say "Opentherm is just a communication language that helps to modulate the boiler" could you explain a bit more if you don't mind just so I can get an understanding, New to this of course ill be getting someone in to do the install for me.
