Hello!

I've noticed for a while that my Greenstar 25i combi has been over shooting the set flow temperature by a few degrees, sometimes up to 5 degrees but just assumed it was normal.

Just discovered whilst fiddling about that there are errors registered in the system (d4 341). So it needs an air purge.

I see there is an air purge mode in the settings, which is set to OFF. I have turned it on and the boiler is going through a load of clickety cycles. I've opened up radiator valves. Going forward, should I have this air purge mode set to ON permanently or AUTO or OFF?

According to the Internet, an air purge can be done by turning the boiler off and on, but mine actually has an air purge mode.

Any advice welcome.

I gather from earlier tinkering that air purge mode being ON means the boiler is in that mode only and won't do anything else. So the question is whether I should have this mode set to AUTO or OFF?

I noticed that switching the boiler off and on didn't seem to result in an air purge.

Also... I am interested to know what the following settings refer to and what I am best having them set to if I am trying to achieve more efficient running?

2.3B (anti fast cycle time)

Current setting: 5 mins. (Options are 3mins - 45mins).

2.3C (anti fast cycle flow temp)

Current setting: -6 (Options are -30 to 0)

2.9E (flow turbine signal delay)

Current setting: 2 (options are 2 - 12)

Thoughts on best settings, especially for efficiency and cost effectiveness?
