Can anyone help. We have a combi boiler a heatslave 9.24 rsf and it has been happily doing it's part in giving us a warm house and plenty of hot water on tap until recently. Well a couple of weeks ago it started switching itself off and then on we thought it was the temostatic controller in the house, then last week no heat and very lukewarm water after about 10 minutes that turns very very cold. The boiler if firing up, the plumber thought it was the gas valve which he fitted and still no heat or hot water. Can anyone please help as the North East of Scotland is a very very very cold place at the moment and this has been giong on for a whole week.

Does the burner continue to stay lit during a demand for hot water. This may sound over the top but what model does it say on the data plate for the boiler ( behind the front panel on top of the control box ) their at least three different types of 9.24 rsf the oldest using thermosats and the latest using thermistors. If your plumber changed the gas valve he must have been guessing unless he read his manometer wrong, did he say what readings he got, it should be around 16mb at the burner on max and 17.5 inlet on max.
