Hi,
I have a Worcester Heatslave 9.24 BF which is set to come on from a timer. At 15.00 the pump comes on and the boiler fires up. However after an initial ignition and heating of the water, the boiler never re-ignites when the water starts to cool. If I adjust the heat control thermostat on the front, the boiler still doesn't ignite. However if I turn the power off to the unit or run the tap for hot water instead (not sure which, if any, makes a difference), the thermostat seems to work again and the boiler reignites when the water in boiler cools.
Water heating side of combi appears to be working fine.
I think it's a faulty heating control thermostat but I've had a look and can't see any problems (no dry joints on thermostat control, capillary is in thermostat pocket etc).
This seems to be a very intermittent problem. Sometimes the boiler ignites, sometimes it doesn't.
Any ideas?
