Guys

We have moved into our new house 2 months ago. We have worchester 28i boiler which was working fine. But since a week or so boiler is leaking water. Also the pressure bar is showing on zero.

I've have turned off electricity power to the boiler for safety.

Please advice what could be the cause of problem and how what could I do to restore it to normal.

You could lift off the front outer front panel and have a quick look to locate the leak. However on these boilers I find the auto air vent has a propensity for leaking resulting in combustion chamber flooding. Since it affects many gas safety components that would require extensive checking/drying out it will require a registered boiler engineer to investigate.

So that's why it's a manual vent now?

I assume the OP is talking about the 24/28i RSF Band D boiler. For some reason the positioning of the aav on the primary heat exchanger appears to leave them more vunerable to the aav suddenly leaking (all the flooded combustion chambers I've come across have been on these models).

Perhaps the combination of contaminated system water and excessive heat buildup ages the aav needle valve. The combustion cover seal and chamber is so well designed I have come across them with the whole burner under water. Of course sensible design would have vent the aav to outside the chamber with a little tubing (as on the Halsteads Finest etc).
