Got an older combi here that I need a bit of help with.
No problems as such- works a treat actually. I have no need for the complicated programmer(Danfoss Tp5) and want to replace it with a simple mechanical thermostat. The Tp5 is connected across st8: Ls and Lr with a red/black two core, no earth or common.
The new thermostat has 4 possible terminals to utilise:
1 ... live
2.... neutral
3... heating load(but linked to neutral(2))
4... goes thru thermostat contact but not used
The above may be completely irrelevant if the boiler uses only a volt-free contact closure which I have measured at pins 1 and 3 of the new thermostat.
In short, is it just a case of connecting the new thermostat pins 1/3 across Lr and Ls.
Cheers
