working in australia

just wondering if any of u guys ever have, im off out there very soon and would like to use my trades and do some plumbing over there, rather then spend time picking fruit for 10p a day
obiously i cant do gas over there, as im sure i have to do extra corgi tests to qualify for it, even though i can do it over here

my question is does anyone know how i would go about being able to do plumbing out there
bearing im mind my visa only allows me to work for 3 months with the same person
will i need to go to a company?

if anyone has been there and done it i would like to know

For most all plumbing in Oz you need to be Qualified, through their system, and they (rightly) pour scorn on our NVQ. And they're quite strict, but I'd have thought you could work as a "helper" of some sort with a proper company - no worries.
