Hi,
i need to join two worktops BUT the join will not be over a cupboard, but over an appliance ( dryer ).
There is no way around this, due to the layout of the kitchen and lengths of worktops. How can i join these two worktops but make it a solid reliable join, bearing in mind there will be nothing at the front to support it.
Any ideas ? :?:

you could screw up from underneath a 12mm mdf cleat to span the joint, but you might be able to see the raw edge of the mdf,or you could obtain a bit of steel plate with holes in to screw up into the worktop????
