Good Morning all.

I have a baxi central heating unit and (2 water tanks) so I think that means its not a combi.

Its rusting after 8 years and I have been told I need to replace it.

I was pretty set on getting a Worcester Bosch however the engineer that arrived today to give me a quote said viessmann are better due to them being German and better quality parts.

I'd very much appreciate another opinion. My requirements are:

- 3 bed house
- Dont use heating often - just more in winter time (Im a bloke we dont feel the cold) What im trying to say is I don't use it daily - only when I feel the cold.
- Live by myself
- Full time job ie dont work from home.

So in a nut shell I'm not a heavy user. Whats the cheapest to run combi or one with a water tank for my needs ( that sounds obvious ) what im thinking is are the combi more expensive to buy/service/repair/install if u already have a water tank set up.

Are there great differences between Viessman and WB - is there a particular model I should go for and/or avoid from either and why.

Any advice recommendations would be gratefully received.

Many thanks in advance

Whether entry level or higher spec its got to be either the vitodens 100 or the vitodens 200, with weather compensation.

both are good boilers.

worcester bosch suffer from large aluminium heat exchangers and components shoe horned into small spaces as a result..

a feat of engineering design but not that popular with people who repair them (unless you are paying worcester bosch that is!)

Worcester all day long, but the truth is installers all have their own favourites
Viessman haven't got an established back up if things go wrong.
Good luck

Worcester Bosch CDI Classic Range - 7 Years Warranty from an accredited installer. No hassle after sales if it does go wrong, no boiler is infallible.
