WOW! What a smell!

We recently decided to paint our kitchen cabinets. A friend of ours sprayed them with primer first and then painted them. The fridge was in the kitchen and now has taken on the smell of the primer. ahhhh!

My husband keeps throwing food out because it stinks. The food does not taste like the primer but, we are afraid to stock the fridge considering we just moved in.

I have tried charcoal and it has been in there for over 24 hours and has not helped. He primed them back on Saturday the 17th.
Any suggestions??
