I just got someone I was told has many years of building and roofing work experience to do a small repair to my roof, a very small amount of water gets in on the edge where there are ridge tiles.
He's done a very tidy job with cement work but I've just noticed he's used an external waterproofer I had just purchased to do a different job, waterproofer for external wall etc, and somehow didn't use the waterproofer that should have been mixed in with the cement!
Is was sitting right there for him ton use Arghhhhh
I've never done much roof work myself, very basic repairs, but I doubt the cement will have any or good waterproof properties now?
I also have a roof paint that is to go on after the cement is dry, but that was going to be for extra protection, not the fix!
But should I tell him to remove the cement and do it again, or tell him not to come back?
Seems like a bad mistake to make if someone really has many years of experience.
Thanks for any advice.
