Turned computer on & its in the process of updating , which I had set it to manual. 5 hours later the computer is un usable, any geeks know what they've done?

They have identified the incestuous vulgar, and decided they do not deserve access.
It's no secret that as part of their planned obsolescence strategy updates are actually designed to make your computer run slower. MS has been getting away with selling the same software in different packages for 2 decades, taking the bigger picture. When they pull support on some of the earlier versions of windows I'll be fully converting over to another OS. Windows 8 + are shyte. Having said this updates shouldn't have so much of a sudden slow down affect unless you haven't updated for a LONNNNGGG time.
